چکیده English

Problem statement: This research aims to study the ideological influences of one of the significant social practices of the Art of the Islamic Revolution, namely the Fajr Visual Arts Festival during the Principlist era, and the manifestation of its cultural values in the characteristics of contemporary Iranian Calligraphy-Painting. The importance of this period in the history of Iran’s cultural developments lies in its efforts to revive and return to the ideals of the Revolution. Therefore, the reflection of cultural values in the discursive structures and the systematization of this event as a crucial institution of ideological regulation and the discursive realizations of the festival are evident and worthy of study.
Research objective: The objective of this research is to explain the cultural values emerging from the Principlist era as manifested in the works and statements of the Fajr Festival, which have led to the systematization of this festival as a discursive tool during this period.
Research method: This study is developmental in terms of its objective and employs a descriptive-analytical method of analysis based on Fairclough’s critical discourse analysis approach. Data were collected through purposeful, non-random sampling from statements, discourses, interviews, documents, and selected works of this festival. The statistical population consists of documents and selected works from the editions of the Calligraphy-Painting section of the Fajr Visual Arts Festival.
Conclusion: The findings of this research indicate that contemporary Calligraphy-Painting in the editions of this festival not only reflects the identity-based, cultural, and ideological elements of the Principlist era but also serves as a discursive tool for consolidating and reproducing cultural and political values.
