پیاده‌محوری و معنای مکان در بافت تاریخی اصفهان: واکاوی تجربۀ گردشگر با رویکرد پدیدارشناسی تفسیری

چکیده
بیان مسئله: بافت تاریخی اصفهان به‌عنوان یکی از میراث‌های جهانی یونسکو، نه‌تنها مقصدی گردشگری با ارزش‌های بصری، بلکه بستری پویا برای تجربۀ زیستۀ پیاده‌روان است. با وجود تأکید روزافزون بر پیاده‌محوری در توسعۀ شهری، اغلب پژوهش‌های پیشین با تمرکز صرف بر شاخص‌های کالبدی و کمی، از درک چگونگی ساخت معنای مکان توسط گردشگران غفلت کرده‌اند. این کاستی، موجب ناهماهنگی میان مداخلات برنامه‌ریزی شهری و تجربۀ واقعی کاربران در بافت‌های میراثی شده است.
هدف پژوهش: این پژوهش با هدف واکاوی تجربۀ زیستۀ گردشگران در بافت تاریخی اصفهان انجام شد تا تم‌های معنایی مؤثر بر شکل‌گیری حس مکان شناسایی و نقش عوامل کالبدی، اجتماعی و زیباشناختی در این فرایند تحلیل شود. این پژوهش در تلاش برای پاسخ به دو سؤال است: ۱. گردشگران چگونه تجربۀ پیاده‌روی در بافت تاریخی اصفهان را توصیف می‌کنند؟ ۲. چه عواملی بر کیفیت تجربۀ مکان تأثیرگذارند؟ ۳. چه ناهم‌خوانی‌هایی میان پیش‌بینی‌های مدل‌های چیدمان فضایی و تجربۀ واقعی پیاده‌روان وجود دارد؟
روش پژوهش: این پژوهش با رویکرد کیفی و روش پدیدارشناسی تفسیری (API) انجام شد. داده‌ها ازطریق مصاحبه‌های نیمه‌ساختاریافته با ۱۶ گردشگر (داخلی و خارجی) گردآوری و از رهگذر تحلیل مضمون، شش تم محوری استخراج شد.
نتیجه‌گیری: نتایج نشان داد چهار تم اصلی شامل «نشان‌ها و جهت‌یابی»، «زیبایی بصری و خوانایی»، «فعالیت‌های اجتماعی-اقتصادی» و «آسایش محیطی» بنیان تجربۀ پیاده‌روی گردشگران را تشکیل می‌دهند. تم «ناهم‌خوانی میان سازمان فضایی و تجربۀ واقعی» بیانگر محدودیت مدل‌های کمی در تبیین معناسازی گردشگران بود. همچنین تفاوت معناداری میان درک گردشگران داخلی (عاطفی و هویتی) و بین‌المللی (زیباشناختی و تحلیلی) مشاهده شد. تجربۀ پیاده‌محوری در اصفهان پدیده‌ای چندبُعدی است که در تعامل میان عوامل کالبدی، حسی و اجتماعی شکل می‌گیرد. یافته‌ها بر ضرورت اتخاذ سیاست‌های «مکان‌محور و انسان‌محور» در مدیریت بافت‌های تاریخی تأکید دارند تا علاوه بر حفظ میراث فرهنگی، کیفیت تجربۀ زیستۀ گردشگران نیز ارتقا یابد.

Problem statement: Isfahan’s historic urban fabric, a UNESCO World Heritage site, functions as both a visual attraction and a dynamic space for pedestrian experiences. While pedestrian-oriented development gains prominence, existing research focusing on physical metrics has overlooked how tourists construct place meaning, creating mismatches between urban interventions and actual user experiences in heritage settings.
Research objective: This study analyzes tourists’ lived experiences in Isfahan’s historic context to identify semantic themes shaping the sense of place and examine physical, social, and aesthetic factors’ roles in this process, aiming to bridge theoretical models and human experiences.
Research questions: 1. How do tourists describe walking experiences in Isfahan’s historic fabric? 2. What factors influence place experience quality? 3. What discrepancies exist between spatial models and real pedestrian experiences?
Research method: Using Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), data from 16 tourists collected via semi-structured interviews were analyzed thematically, revealing six core themes.
Conclusion: Four primary themes emerged: “Signs and Wayfinding,” “Visual Beauty and Legibility,” “Socio-Economic Activities,” and “Environmental Comfort.” The “Spatial vs. Experiential Discrepancy” theme showed quantitative models’ limitations in capturing meaning-making. Domestic tourists demonstrated emotional/identity-based perceptions while international tourists exhibited aesthetic/analytical perspectives. Pedestrian experience in Isfahan is multidimensional, formed through physical-sensory-social interactions. Findings advocate for place-based, human-centered policies in historic urban management to enhance tourist experiences while preserving cultural heritage, recommending integration of qualitative data with conventional approaches.
