Abstract
Problem Statement: Considering the process of producing architectural form, we see that this issue is separated from other related issues such as structure, performance content, etc., and this is why it imposes unreasonable costs on projects. Observing the dos and don’ts of structural configuration based on practice criteria regulations produces uniform forms whose architectural configuration is less important to the architects. In these circumstances, one of the solutions is to focus on nature and study the solutions used by nature in natural structures and generalize it to building structures.
Research Objective:, by answering the question of what relationship exists between fundamental structures and natural forms? We sought to achieve the main goal of using nature as a model for architectural design, based on biomimicry principles, to increase efficiency while visually appealing in the configuration of buildings.
Research Method: This research had a problem-based approach, the problem of how to configure architecture based on mass-efficient structures led to a reference to nature, examining the solution to the problem in nature. This research was an applied-developmental research and a descriptive-quantitative research in terms of its objective. The time of the research occurred in the present and the nature of the data was also qualitative and quantitative. Information was collected by library method using a questionnaire and field method.
Conclusion: In comparing the weight of the structures, the validity of the hypotheses was measured and it was observed that in addition to the different and significant structural configuration, the structural performance in the bionic model was more desirable, so that in addition to having a dynamic form, the consumption of load-bearing material in it was reduced by five percent.
