Created in the same historical period, Sani ol-Molk’s anachronistic illustrations for One Thousand and One Nights are a good source for research on the era’s clothing, as they realistically depict how Persians lived at the time. The present study attempts to answer the following question: “Based on Sani ol-Molk’s One Thousand and One Nights illustrations, what designs and motifs were prevalent in textiles used for women’s and men’s clothing in the Naserian era?” The assumption is that in this era, just as in the previous periods, there were different clothes patterning styles and gender had some influence on the choice of fabrics for clothing. Research objective: The study aimed to explore early-Naserian-era fabric designs and motifs by examining the illustrations of the Qajar version of One Thousand and One Nights. Research method: In this descriptive and analytical research, 24 book illustrations, selected through probability sampling, were examined. Conclusion: Findings show that for women, textiles patterned with floral motifs were used for clothing that was worn in andaruni (the private, women-only quarter in traditional Persian houses; similar to the harem), and plain textiles for those worn out in biruni (outside both the andaruni and the house); for men, plain textiles were preferred, Termeh fabrics (patterned with Botteh Jegheh/ Paisley’s) were only used for Qaba’s, and the use of other patterned fabrics was limited to embellishments.}, keywords = {Textile,Naser al-Din Shah Qajar,Sani ol-Molk,One Thousand and One Nights,Design,Motif}, title_fa = {پوشش زنانه و مردانۀ عصر ناصری در نگاره‌های هزارویک شب صنیع‌الملک}, abstract_fa = {بیان مسئله: در سال‌های اولیة حکمرانی ناصرالدین‌شاه قاجار، منسوجات مورد استفاده در پوشش زنانه و مردانه با نقوش متنوع آراسته می‌شده است. نگاره‌پردازی‌های نسخة هزارویک‌شب صنیع‌الملک، به‌دلیل تعلّق به این بازة تاریخی و واقع‌نماییِ زندگی مردم، محل مناسبی برای پژوهش در این موضوع محسوب می‌شود؛ بنابراین پرسش این است: با نظر به نگاره‌پردازی‌های هزارویک شب صنیع‌الملک، کدام طرح‌ها و نقوش در منسوجاتِ کاربردی در پوشش زنانه و مردانة عصر ناصری رواج داشته‌اند؟ و فرضیه این است که در این روزگار، همچون ادوار پیشین، نقش‌اندازی بر بستر لباس جلوه‌های متنوعی داشته و تفاوت‌های جنسیتی، تا اندازه‌ای، در گزینش پارچه جهت دوخت پوشاک تعیین‌کننده بوده است. هدف پژوهش: هدف از انجام این پژوهش آن است که با مطالعة نگاره‌های نسخة قاجاری هزارویک شب صنیع‌الملک، انواع طرح و نقش پارچه در اوان دورة ناصری باز شناخته و مقایسه شوند. روش پژوهش: مطالعه به شیوة توصیفی-تحلیلی و نمونه‌گیری احتمالیِ طبقه‌بندی‌شدة بیست‌وچهار نگاره از هزارویک شب صنیع‌الملک انجام شده است. نتیجه‌گیری: یافته‌های پژوهش حاکی از آن است که در مورد پوشش زنانه منسوجات طرح‌دار با نقوش گیاهی در اندرونی به کار می‌رفت؛ در مقابل، استفاده از انواع ساده در فضای بیرونی مرسوم بود. در خصوص پوشش مردانه، اولویت با منسوجات ساده بود، فقط پارچه‌های ترمه (منقوش به بته‌جقه) در دوخت قبا مورد استفاده قرار می‌گرفت و بهره‌گیری محدود از دیگر انواع طرح‌دار به تزئینات لباس خلاصه می‌شد.}, keywords_fa = {منسوجات,ناصرالدین‌شاه قاجار,صنیع‌الملک,هزارویک شب,طرح,نقش}, url = {http://www.bagh-sj.com/article_139235.html}, eprint = {http://www.bagh-sj.com/article_139235_e0d309b7c626c5ff6ec1d5425497f946.pdf} }
