In Iranian Beliefs Persian garden is one of the phenomenon of Paradise. Different types of pre-Islamic Persian art have had special regards to the representation of Persian garden. The present essay is performed to make an structural study in the two visual areas of Carpet and Miniature which represent the Persian garden and Garden making in Safavid era. Thus a comparative study on composition and the view angles in garden carpets and in the paintings of Safavid era, and the relation between them was performed, to make it possible to draw out the structure of garden design and the visual sight of the observer within this two visual scopes. The research methodology in the present essay is descriptive-analysis and the Data analysis was carried out in a atomistic approach (Inductive method of reasoning) , and the type of the study is qualitative research having a comparative approach toward the Issue. The statistical society of garden carpets are 20 samples as well as the paintings are 46, in which the 10 samples of each group were randomly selected for analysis; the main part of this research has been done on the basis of library studies.
Studying the main structure of Garden Carpets and the Miniatures of Safavid dynasty was performed with an artistic look in order to make these two visual areas in Garden making Art and introduce this lasting art to the other painters.
The question raised in this research is to express the existing similarities and differences in the two visual fields of Carpet and Garden Miniature , which results The composition of Persian Garden in the miniatures and the garden carpets derived from the four-gardens pattern (chahar-bagh) of Safavid period , emphasis on centrality (the garden ponds), the water streams, Naturalism, Symmetry, The harmony between the existing elements in the garden and separating the main spaces of layout. The view angle in these two visual fields of study is different depending on visual condition of the observer.
