Khosrow and Shirin is a story that composed by many poets like Saalebi. Jahez in second to third Hejri century, in Shahnama by Firdausi and Nizami. We see that it has been repeated by the time in some verbal texts and then it appears in a lot of pictorial texts like painting, carpet, tile, lithography print and so on. These Repeatability and modeling are caused that a verbal texts alter to mythic texts. As a result the Characters of the text changes to mythic personality. Some pieces of the Nizami’s story like Shirin Bathing, Mythic Moment, is repeated more than the other scenes of this mythic text in Qajar era as We see that it repeats and portraits less in other Iranian Schools of Art in Pre-Qajar periods. What is the most important in the research is the studying reason of adding “Curtains and Carline” to the Qajarian Shirin Bathing and Khosrow look in tiles as these elements haven’t seen in other Pre-Qajar schools of art pictures.
The way has been achieved in this research is Mythical Analysis; text-context scholarship myth analysis. this method was invented by Gilbert Daurand in 1980 decade. What is studied in the method, the Myths explored finds the repetitious narrative myths in the society and art and the he explains it on the paradigm and context. The other matter that is so important for Myths explored is” myth is not studied alone but the sets of them Interaction and balance with together too. Namely he find the hidden myth and then stydy in social context. Sub- myth is the most important element for mythanalysis. So Shirin and Khosrow are two mythic characters (especially Shirin) that form the main subject of article. So the sub- mythes of Shirin are her pretty, loyalty, Independent and…but why Shirin and her Bathing has been important in Qajar era? These Shirin’s sub- myths help us to mythanalysis and understanding the element adding “Curtains and Carline” in this period. So let us to explain about circumstances of Qajar period: In this time king and their prophets went to abroad for education or political affairs. Some Europeanian come to Iran for the same reasons too. Because of this communications as the researcher presumes that Qajar era is a transition periods from traditional cultures to European ( eastern, modernism, Farangi, foreigner etc. ) cultures so “curtains” is a symbol of transition and the “carline” is for legitimacy. This elements set between Shirin and Khosrow and she hides her from him but show Shirin nakedness to viewers. It mean a paradoxical function. Therefore every elements are affected by the social and cultural circumstance which work of art has been created.
Since some research has been done on the subject of Khosrow and Shirin Nizami. The writer names some of them like: Khosrow and Shirin personality system of Nizami (Panahi, 1384), The face of two women; Shirin and Leili in Nezami Khamsa ( 1377) and etc. the writer has used library references in gaining information.
