Schools are the best-known educational spaces, which were undergone essential changes over time in various fields including architecture. Thus, it is important to evaluate these changes during different eras. The lack of spatial qualities and replacement of other segments are our schools today problem, compared traditional schools. In other words, the qualities existing in traditional schools are absent in architecture of today’s schools, and the other elements were replaced. Studies that have been conducted regarding schools to date show that less attention has been paid to architecture and content changes of schools, and their cause during different periods. Thus, it is necessary to evaluate these developments and their reasons. This paper tries to examine these developments and their causes. The aim of this study is to evaluate changes in the architecture and content of schools and the relationship between them in the traditional, transitional, and modern era in Iran, compared to each other. In this study, a comparative-analytical research methodology has been used. Library studies were used to collect data. Dodar, Chahar Bagh, and Aqabozorg schools, from traditional era, Darolfonun School from transitional era and Markar School from modern era were selected for comparative analysis purposes; then the required indexes determined for comparison and the evaluations were carried out. According to the hypothesis of this study, compared to the traditional era, architectural developments in Iranian schools during the transitional and modern eras are mostly affected by their content; nevertheless, results do not support the hypothesis and therefore, it was rejected. The results showed that the architectural changes and the pattern of Iranian schools during the transitional and modern eras compared to traditional era were associating with an abstraction-oriented imitation from the architecture of the West and the lack of traditional schools spatial qualities in the architecture of modern schools. Therefore, the same applies to the elimination of the residential section and the contents had no effect on these changes. In this way, the Iranian school has maintained the traditional pattern until mid-Qajar, but since this era onwards and with the establishment of Darolfonun and utilizing the West architecture, the architecture of schools were change. In other words, the new structures of schools during the transitional and modern eras, was a European imitation through eliminating the residential section (school-chamber) and converting to the (school-corridorclass). Thus, the spatial qualities of traditional schools were eliminated, new elements were replaced, and modern schools with new architectural were formed.}, keywords = {Architecture,content,Iran’s schools,Transitional to modern era}, title_fa = {مطالعه تطبیقی معماری و محتوای مدارس ایران از دوره سنتی تا نوین}, abstract_fa = {آموزش و به تبع آن فضاهای آموزشی در هر دوره ای، از نقش مهمی در رشد و بالندگی جوامع برخوردار بوده اند. مدارس شناخته شده ترین فضاهای آموزشی هستند که در طی زمان در در بخش های گوناگون از جمله معماری، دستخوش تحولات اساسی شدند. از این رو بررسی این تحولات طی دوره های مختلف از اهمیت خاصی برخوردار است. مسئله امروزی مدارس ما، عدم وجود کیفیات فضایی در معماری آنها و جایگزینی عناصر دیگر، در قیاس با مدارس سنتی است. بدین معنا که در معماری مدارس امروز، کیفیاتی که در مدارس سنتی دیده می شد، وجود ندارند و در مقابل عناصر دیگر جایگزین شدند. پژوه شهایی که تا به امروز در زمینه مدارس انجام شده، نشان م یدهد کمتر به تحولات معماری و محتوای مدارس و علت آنها، طی دوره های مختلف پرداخته شده است، لذا بررسی این تحولات و علت آنها امری ضروری است. این نوشتار بر آن است این تحولات و علت آنها را مورد مطالعه قرار دهد. هدف از این پژوهش، بررسی تحولات معماری و محتوای مدارس و ارتباط میان این دو، در دوران سنتی، انتقالی و نوین ایران، در قیاس با هم است. در این پژوهش از روش تحقیق، تطبیقی-تحلیلی استفاده شده است. روش گردآوری اطلاعات به صورت کتابخانه ای است. جهت بررسی تطبیقی، مدرسه دودر، چهارباغ و آقابزرگ از دوره سنتی، مدرسه دارالفنون از دوره انتقالی و مدرسه مارکار از دوره نوین انتخاب شدند. سپس شاخص های مورد نظر، جهت مقایسه تعیین و بررس یها انجام گرفت. فرضیه پژوهش بر این استوار است که تحولات معماری مدارس ایران در دوره انتقالی و نوین نسبت به دوره سنتی، متأثر از محتوای آنها است اما نتایج تحقیق بر این مطلب صحه نگذاشت و فرضیه رد شد. نتایج تحقیق نشان داد تحولات معماری و الگوی مدارس ایران در دوره انتقالی و نوین نسبت به دوره سنتی، ناشی از تقلید تجردگرا به سمت معماری غرب بوده و عدم وجود کیفیات فضایی مدارس سنتی در معماری مدارس نوین در قیاس با مدارس سنتی و حذف بخش اقامتی ناشی از همین امر بوده و محتوا تأثیری بر این تغییرات نداشته است. بدین ترتیب تا میانه دوره قاجار، مدارس ایران الگوی سنتی را حفظ کرده اما از این دوره به بعد، با تأسیس دارالفنون و بهره گیری از معماری غرب، تحولی در معماری مدارس ایجاد شد. به عبارتی، ساختار جدید مدارس در دوره انتقالی و نوین، تقلیدی اروپائی با حذف بخش اقامتی (مدرسه _ حجره) به سوی (مدرسه_ راهرو_ کلاس) است. ب ه گونه ای که کیفیات فضایی مدارس سنتی حذف و عناصر دیگر جایگزین شده و مدارس نوین با معماری جدید شکل گرفتند.  }, keywords_fa = {Architecture,content,Iran’s schools,Transitional to modern era}, url = {http://www.bagh-sj.com/article_47427.html}, eprint = {http://www.bagh-sj.com/article_47427_e96583e040704129ed71b08e2ee589a1.pdf} }
